Estate & Trust Administration

Estate administration is the process of managing the deceased person’s affairs through the probate court as Personal Representative. Administering an estate can be overwhelming but we are here to help you through the process. There are various ways to open an estate through the probate court process whether the individual died with or without a Will. A Personal Representative manages the estate and could be named in a Will, the probate process, or Court appointed. The Personal Representative has various duties to fulfill in administering the decedent’s estate in ensuring that estate debts and expenses are paid, publish notice to creditors, distributing assets to beneficiaries, inventory, accountings, and much more. The beneficiaries have rights. It’s important to understand the role and responsibilities of a Personal Representative. We open estates, represent Personal Representatives, represent beneficiaries, and in some cases, we act as Personal Representative (See Fiduciary Services).
